The Art of War

Hey guys, TMB reporter here. This one is about the current state of the game. Specifically, the top end of the game, with IU still running the show, followed closely by IC or UC who are currently warring one another.

I have a couple of points I am going to cover in this blog. But before I do that I would like to make you all aware that this is a player written blog. What this means is this blog does not represent the opinions of staff or The Mafia Boss. So before any of you start getting fruity towards staff in the comments, just keep this in minds and direct your comments at me.

The background

IU has been dominating the game for the past year, which isn’t anything new. What is new is that we have seen two powerful unions that have emerged over this period. UC and IU. During the past when we have had a similar situation what we have usually seen is the two other unions/ families team up against the most powerful and try to take them out. But these days we are seeing something different. Instead of teaming up with one another, the two of them are warring one another.

Since the war has started both families have been consistently hitting one another and have even competed against one another for JPs. What is curious though is when the JP attempts have taken place IU has not really been anywhere to be seen. Back in the day, and I’m talking about the period from when IU took control of the game up until the last year, IU have rarely not competed for all rounds. It used to be that if you wanted a main or turbo round, you would have to beat whoever from IU was up on the rotation.

Now what we are seeing is occasional battles between IC and UC with IU just sitting back, watching and taking family gold. So what’s change? Why is IU allowing others to take rounds? Does this benefit them? If so how? Lets discuss…

The Art of War

For those of you who have not read the art of war I would suggest you give it a read. It is the IU playbook.

“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting”

IU has bought both IC and UC under control with the minimum use of force, by allowing the two to take the occasional round. What is even more impressive is by doing this they have also inflated the egos of key players within each family, which has consequently led to a war between the two unions. A war that only serves one purpose, to determine who is worthier of being IUs main bitch.

Now I know what you’re thinking, that is one fucking bold statement. But it is a statement based on fact. We can only base statements on facts, and if we look at the facts they paint a pretty clear picture.

Fact One:

IC and UC do not take rounds without asking IU for permission. Both unions will likely deny this fact but it is a not so well kept secret. When you ask someone for permission, does that not suggest that you are in a subservient position?

Keep an eye out for part two….

More facts to follow
